Selim Loukil
Selim’s challenge, in merging two large technology companies of similar sizes, was to engage and mobilise more than 10,000 employees all over the globe while establishing a new, unified culture.
“We don’t only invest in businesses to generate great returns; for us it’s about building great companies,” he says. “There are several things you can do to make this happen, including developing a clear strategy, but they only get you so far. If you really want to take things to the next level, you have to address behaviour and culture. They say, ‘culture eats strategy for breakfast’. I completely agree.”
But this means developing people, and that’s why he took the integration team on an Amaseu transformation journey. “The Amaseu formula is effective because it helps people leave the past and egos behind, while planting seeds of mutual respect, understanding and team bonding,” he continues. “I personally remember many extraordinary moments and shared experiences which helped us create our new culture.”
Since then, the organisation has been rolled-out worldwide, employees are engaged across all locations, and the execution of synergies is well on track. “We are all proud of that,” says Selim.
