Paul was born in the small Dutch town of Zuid-Beijerland. After gaining a degree and PhD in Management Science, he kicked off his career as a management consultant. Four years later he became strategy director at the ERP software company Baan.
His next step was as CEO of internet software start-ups Tridion and Fredhopper. Working in this sector - both during and after the Internet bubble - was an extraordinary experience, exposing him to everything from the struggle for survival to periods of astronomical growth.
After 12 years of hard work, Paul took off with his wife and two young children to travel the world for half a year. Back home he worked as interim manager on several projects until teaming up with Erik-Jan to develop Ejai and revive amaseu in 2009.
